KTU CGPA to Percentage Calculator

KTU uses a unique formula: Percentage = (CGPA - 0.75) × 10. So a CGPA of 8.2 gives (8.2 - 0.75) × 10 = 74.5%. This is different from the standard CGPA × 9.5 formula.

KTU designed its own formula to align with its specific grading system and assessment methodology. The formula accounts for the way KTU distributes grades and calculates grade points.

At KTU, CGPA 8.5+ is excellent, 7.5-8.4 is very good, 6.5-7.4 is good, and 5.5-6.4 is above average. First Class with Distinction requires 75% (approximately CGPA 8.25 using the KTU formula).
