Percentage Increase Calculator

Subtract the original value from the new value, divide by the original, then multiply by 100. Example: salary went from $50,000 to $55,000 → (5,000/50,000) × 100 = 10% increase.

Annual raises typically range from 3-5% for standard cost-of-living adjustments. A promotion might come with 10-20%. Job changers often see 10-30% increases. Anything above 5% without a promotion is considered above average.

Multiply the number by (1 + percentage/100). For example, to increase 200 by 15%: 200 × 1.15 = 230.
