Weeks Between Dates Calculator

Divide the total number of days between the dates by 7. The quotient is the number of complete weeks, and the remainder is the extra days. This calculator does this automatically.

A regular year has 52 weeks and 1 day (365 / 7 = 52 remainder 1). A leap year has 52 weeks and 2 days. So no year has exactly 52 weeks.

Weeks are a natural unit for many activities: fitness programs (8-week training plans), pregnancy (40 weeks), project sprints (2-week sprints), and academic semesters. Weeks are more tangible than months for medium-term planning.
